i live in the country and in the summer power spikes during storms can be bad so i always unplug stuff, if i go away for a couple weeks is it ok to unplug my h20 or will i lose my programming like i did when i with my expressvu equipment, thanks.

You may but a simple call to Directv to push your activation back down will quickly fix it.
