Nintendo really needs to improve this aspect. I bought the Wii knowing full well it was 'graphically challenged' compared to a PS3/360, but given that it shouts to you 'built in WiFi!!!!', the online gaming is beyond pathetic.

Even making some of the older Virtual Console games online playable (like techmo bowl etc) would be outstanding.

Really wish they'd pull their heads out of the sand and address this.

Agreed here. The Virtual Console would have a lot more value if online play was enabled.

Unfortunately, that will never, ever happen.

I think that if they would just ditch the "friend code" system, online gaming on the Wii would be fine. Super Smash Bros. Brawl has an extremely robust set of online features.

How about voice communication? From what I understand the Wii uses blue-tooth technology for their wireless devices, so why not enable use for blue-tooth headsets?

What's the point of playing online games with my friends if I cant even verbally communicate with them?

All I have tried is guitar ehro 3 online. It went pretty well except one time I lost the connection right as I almost caught the guy in the tie breaker song.

I would say int he GH case, it needs some sort of chat interaction, although it would be annoying trying to type to someone.

Endless Ocean on-line would be great if there was support for a headset. For now, I'm stuck using my phone. LOL

Online games I have played have gone pretty well - for DS and Wii.

MOH2 is really simple and easy to get online and find a game. Lack of headset doesn't bother me since I do not want to talk to these people anyway :)

Headsets are a mixed bag to me...nice if you're playing online with a friend, but if not, it's pretty much an avenue to hear unimaginative slurs against homosexuals. Case in point, this video of a brave Xbox Live gamer who decided to conduct a social experiment by taking the handle of "GAYBOY": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6alOnuN-wCY

Do we really need this arguement again?

playing online with the Wii is very annoying... most games require a different code than your wii number to add people to your list... so you can choose to play against random people and basically the only communication you have is
play again? yes? no?

Yeah I have never played online with another system so I don't know how it works on others, but when I played GH3 for Wii I thought it was kind of pointless really since you can't even say anything at all to the other person. And then wins against people online does not even show up anywhere in stats on guitar hero's official site. It simply states how many times you've played an online match and does not even tell how many you won.

I dont care for online game play but at least give the option for having some downloadable content to extend games like GH3. Let the owners sort out the memory with built in or SD card.

In GH3 you aren't missing anything as far as DLC goes. They're offerings are pretty pathetic in that regard. Now if you were talking about RockBand...

Until RB is released for the Wii, theres nothing to talk about.

And back to the topic of DLC..for any games that Nintendo has...not just GH3.
