View Full Version : Got my Dual Shock 3's today mrigsby 02-02-08, 03:00 PM Chargin up now, super excited to be playing with them soon What's been your experiene so far? like.no.other. 02-02-08, 03:01 PM There is probably 50 more threads about their opinion. Search engine is your friend. mrigsby 02-02-08, 03:06 PM Way to be a dick Kess 02-02-08, 03:42 PM Don't sweat it. Like.no.other has quite the reputation in here. And when it comes to that reputation, the search engine is not really his friend. ;) weremichael 02-02-08, 05:54 PM I love my DS3. Because of rumble (or so I'll say), I tripled my Super Stardust score. It also has improved my play in Resistance too. talbain 02-02-08, 05:59 PM Don't sweat it. Like.no.other has quite the reputation in here. And when it comes to that reputation, the search engine is not really his friend. ;) still, there ARE a good half dozen ds3 threads running around here. did we really need another? kekborg 02-02-08, 06:47 PM The guy just got his new controllers. He's excited. Looking for others to post their experience with the rumble. You know what there is too much of on these threads though, is people posting "that there is already a thread for "xyz"...do a search. If you have a problem with it, just by-pass it and don't read. Pretend it didn't even happen. Granted, you'll never get those 1.2 ms back from reading the header though. Why is that so hard for some people? mrigsby, Enjoy the new controller. It has brought a whole new experience to the games from my perspective. Luisfc1972 02-02-08, 07:02 PM ive been thinking about getting one or two of these but im not convinced. the siaxi controllers work perfectly well for me. how exactly can the rumble feature help you play any better? especially on super startdust hd? stevesns69 02-02-08, 07:13 PM I'm still waiting on mine from Play Asia. Does anybody else have experience with this company because it sure is taking a long time? I'm starting to think it's coming by boat from Hong Kong. William Mapstone 02-02-08, 08:38 PM looks like more and more of the Warhawk guys are getting rumble. I should have mine early next week, and I will be sure to start a new thread!;) bladerunner2376 02-03-08, 12:37 AM I am getting a little closer to buying a PS3 due to DS3 implementation. Can't wait for the supposed new bundle.. bkchurch 02-03-08, 01:58 AM Anybody questioning wether to buy one or not: stop questioning and buy it! Seriously after playing with my DS3 I don't even want to touch the Sixaxis. The DS3 feels like a typical controller, it has some weight to it, the Sixaxis on the other hand is about as heavy as a SNES controller and feels like a flimsy toy. O and even if you didn't miss rumble you'll be glad to have it back, it really does add another dimension to the gameplay. After playing Uncharted without the DS3 and then switching to the DS3 I can honestly say it's just a much better experience, the rumble every time you fire a gun with varying intensity and the rumble when you get shot or when something nearby blows up really helps immerse you in the gameworld. Dunno about it making you a better player but you will enjoy the time you do spend playing all the more. mrigsby 02-03-08, 02:12 AM :DIt broke! Three games into it and the left trigger started getting stuck. I was flying around and driving around doing powerslides everywhere and when I was sitting still, it would slowley keep me moving in revers! This one was from play asia, it takes a little over a week to get to you because they actually have to ship it from overseas. I've never had a problem with returning things to play asia so it shouldn't be a problem. But, I loved it so much I already ordered two more like.no.other. 02-03-08, 08:13 AM I am not being a dick. There is too many threads how new DS3 owners get excited. Look at the second page maybe you'll spot one. JD23 02-03-08, 09:42 AM Does anyone know what the US release date is for the DS3? Also, how is the battery life on the DS3 compared to the Sixaxis? kekborg 02-03-08, 10:25 AM :DIt broke! With those "Iron Paws", somehow this does not surprise me ;). I ordered mine from japanvideogames.com (they are actually located in cali so the import had already taken place) and got them 3 days (shipped to Nebraska). Like you paws, I liked mine so much, I ordered up another quickly after the first. I've had them for a couple of months and between the abuse they get from the kids and myself, they seem to be standing up pretty strong. mrigsby 02-03-08, 12:00 PM I am not being a dick. There is too many threads how new DS3 owners get excited. Look at the second page maybe you'll spot one. Dick like.no.other. 02-03-08, 01:03 PM Dick I would say go hit puberty but you already did 18 years ago. kekborg 02-03-08, 01:15 PM I would say go hit puberty but you already did 18 years ago. Great come back..... I bet you throw a ball like a girl too. Mods, any chance we can get this guy to pipe down? Johnsteph10 02-03-08, 01:31 PM This is funny. As tactless as like.no.other is, do we really need yet another thread on the fact that someone got a new video game controller? Really? :D IhateBestBuy 02-03-08, 01:48 PM Too many damn DS3 threads. Nobody cares if you just got one. Want gratification? Call your mother. Thread locked. Remax 02-03-08, 02:09 PM Thread locked? Are you a mod? Its weird because im typing this reply right now, and nothing is stopping me. Nobody mentioned the best part about the ds3. The controller does not drop the connection anymore. ON the old sixaxis my controller would freeze for about 5 seconds every once in a while. Especially when the battery was low. It has not happened once in the last 2 months of owning the ds3. Mike Lang 02-03-08, 02:12 PM Knock it off guys. mrigsby 02-03-08, 02:30 PM Here;sthe wonderful thing about this forum, unless they say I can't post another thread about the DS3, I'd still do it. Wooohooooo - thank god for America!!!! As for puberty, my wife agrees with you I'm done canto 02-03-08, 05:40 PM Knock it off guys. I doubt it will happen, given the type of mentality they have shown so far. mrigsby 02-03-08, 06:10 PM Mentality? _ I'm not sure what you're hoping for, I'm one of the dumbest people on here - I can't even use the search engine  kekborg 02-03-08, 06:19 PM Does anyone know what the US release date is for the DS3? Also, how is the battery life on the DS3 compared to the Sixaxis? JD23, As far as the battery life of the ds3 compared to the sixaxis, there is no difference as far as I can tell. If I'm not using it, the kids are and it usually gets a full workout on a sat or sun. Never had a problem with it running out of charge (of course on those days I make sure they do get a charge over night). As far as when they will be available state side, I have read (on various forums) that they would be here March. I think the official statement from Sony was sometime 1st quarter... |
