Hi grettings so i just got my first HDTV and blu ray player sony kdl46v300 with the bdp-s300, im fairly happy with my tv i paid BB for a calibration but cause in the area i live in theres only 1 dude i got wait like 3 months for the dude to show up but my friend said theres a way to calibrate my Tv using Bluray player and certain blu ray movies that come with them.... how do i go about this ?? and is it fairly simple for someone who is not to technically sound.... cause last thing i want is to make my picture look worst

Sony movie discs on the Blu have test patterns accessed by punching in 7669 in the menu screen. There are no instructions ... you are on your own. You are expected to know what to do with the patterns if you use them.

I also noticed that the T2 Blu-ray has a THX optimizer. Used it the other day to tweak my player. SJ
