Hi All,

Have any of you used one of those Disc Doctor type gizmos, to repair scratched discs? I haven't scratched any of my X360 discs yet, but my kids have damaged a few of their PS2 and GameCube discs. So I am considering investing in one, but one review on BB said that he TOTALLY destroyed an X360 disc trying to repair it. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I think I read on these forums that EB Games/Gamestop does this for a couple dollars per disc, which would be a lot cheaper and safer than buying one of the cheepo units yourself.

just a thought...

i have a motorized version of one of these, has restored quite a few discs (for PC) so that i was able to rip and back them up.

it seems like the xbox is probably more sensitive to disc errors though, so this may or may not alleviate your problems with a ps2 or GC disc.

also, friends of mine have tried the gamestop repair service with no luck.

Of the disc repair devices, the Skip Doctor/Disc Doctor line is the only one that I have ever seen actually work. If that device doesn't fix the disc, then the disc is unfixable at the consumer level.
