I need an audio/video rack. It will go behind a false wall and no one will see it so I guess I could make my own but with time involved it just might be cheaper to buy one. The question is where can I find one that will work.
Here is my situation. It will have a 60lb receiver, 80lb conditioner/ups, 40lb receiver, 25lb receiver, dtv receiver, 2 dvd players, cd player, cassette player. The deal is I need a bunch of shelves and several need to be strong. I can put several items stacked on each other but as for the receivers they must be kept open. I have looked and can't seem to find anything. I think it needs to be at least 60" tall to help hold all the components. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

You might try these guys-they have a wide range of stuff:

You can also check places like Musicians Friend, Sweetwater Music, or Music123. They sell audio racks that you can customize with all type of different shelves, drawers, etc. They're made for studios and musicians to mount amps and effects, but I've seen them used in home audio installations as well. Not sure what your price range is, 'cause some of these aren't all that cheap. But they will hold a lot of weight and have casters to move easily.

Here is one that is 63" at racksandstands.com, it is expensive. If you can't find what you are looking for maybe consider having one custom made to your desire.

Those look like some nice onecs. It is behind a wall so I don't need doors or anything like that. Thanks for looking. I have found some but not exactly what I want yet.

I must be picky but many that I have found have shelves that won't support the weight of some of my equipment. I thought I found one but it was a 1/2" too wide to fit in my opening.

Closest thing I've found... not quite as tall as you want but has 6 shelves and looks like it'll hold the weight you need.

Goto ebay search for 19 inch rack, you will find racks like that one. You might have to dig, but I am sure you can find something local. I bought one for $100, and the guy brought it about 60 miles to me, was  8 years  ago or so.

Then look at partsexpress, fullcompass, etc. for rack shelves and rack screws.
