Trying to learn how to best approach this as I need a good PJ for my 10 foot wide screen with throw of 2.1. Please feel free to add info. I think I've exhausted the search button but cant come to a conclusion. Since some of you will also have a passion for sport cars, thought this may help me:

C3X (720) is to Ferrari F430 as Infocus SP-777 is to _________.

NOTE: Ferrari Formula One would be related to HT-5000.

Thank you in advance...

I don't know enough about cars (or projectors for that matter) to answer, but you might want to clarify which C3X you want to compare: the original or the C3X-E. As I understand it, the newer E version has improved processing and two HDMI inputs (rather than one). ColdMachine probably knows the differences backwards and forwards.

Hi Will! Thank you. Yeah, was referring to the non "e".

with 70 views and one response (thank you) I guess I was wrong about car enthusiasts helping with my analogy.

Well, then, hoping anyone can chime in....If you know of both, or have seen both, or know something regarding these two PJ's compared head to head, any thoughts will be appreciated.

thanks, Jaime

C3X (720) is to Ferrari F430 as Infocus SP-777 is to K-Fed.

J/K. I really have no idea...

Too many opinions on what is better/worse than a Ferrari. Here is the rundown:

C3X (non E): Better contrast, better black levels, much smaller, more expensive.
SP777: Much brighter, larger, louder, cheaper.

Both are very good so I don't think you'd be disappointed by either. Now if you threw in the E on the C3X, well then that is different...

I would say the 777 is a Corvette Z06 or a Viper. :)

Depends on where you're coming from. When someone says 'No problemo', I assume they're using one of Schwartzenegger's memorable quotes (Terminator 2). If you say 'No problema', I'm assuming you're answering in spanish or italian...

I'd say Jason is far more likely to quote the Governator than to speak Italian or Spanish. :D

Using Jason's rundown...

Yes it is...but no problemo rhymes better. :D

Poetic License always wins in these kinds of arguments. Poetic License trumps proper grammar and spelling.
