Howdy,
I have DSM510 and HP MediaVault with DLNA server. :) Sporadically my 510 can't see the DLNA server and shows a dialog box "Restarting Server" always times out about several minutes with no access to server. This almost always happens if I haven't used 510 for several days, but also happens sometimes while I'm actively using it. :(
510 is wireless but shows same behavior when wired. Shows same behavior with TVersity DLNAserver running on desktop. During all of this, all systems can be ping'ed so I dont believe it is a network issue.
When this happens, I have to shut off 510 and MV, restart MV, wait a couple of minutes, then restart 510. This usually gets 510 to see server, but not always.
But I would like to know what the 510 thinks it can do to start the server if it can't see one. Is this part of the DLNA spec? If so, why do neither the MV nor the TVsersity servers respond to it???
This issue has taken all the fun out of the media player concept so any help would be apprecviated.
