I hope someone can help me with this. I have read at length trying to find an answer, and have found some help, but have a few remaining questions.

I've been doing some tweaking with an eye-one lt on my Sony a2000. I think I've got the gray scale about as good as I can get it. My problem is with the color setting.

If I set color so that red reads 21 percent of the peak white, it ends up with some really high delta e values, in the neighborhood of 56 for red and green, with blue being around 6 or so.

So I lower the color setting to 44(from default of 50), and I get lower delta e readings (23.7, 22.8, and blue goes up to 16.6). But now my Y values are 16.726, 65.934, 4.910.

I guess my question is which is preferable? The lower delta e or the correct Y value? And why...? I realize there is some over saturation going on with the red and green which is why the color setting should be lowered.

The other question I have, is I know that in the service menu there is Service Menu Color Decoder(WEM 011) and it looks like I can tweak red brightness and red tint. Would this be worth doing and help offset the conflict I have? If so, what test pattern would I be using and what would I be looking for when I measure?

I've attached the HCFR file if that will help.
