Makes sense with the PS2 version without online play. Add some HD quality and push it for $30-40 and I'll sell my Dreamcast.

View Full Version : Any chance of Marvel vs Capcom 1 or 2 ported to PS3? Doom878 02-04-08, 02:28 PM Makes sense with the PS2 version without online play. The games would look terrible blown up to HD resolutions, and redrawing all the sprites for HD is a *huge* undertaking - especially considering how many sprites are in MvC2. I think you will have to be happy with the SSF2HD coming to PSN. coneyparleg 02-04-08, 02:45 PM If they come out with a new game I would be orgasmicaly overjoyed serversurfer 02-04-08, 04:16 PM Someone (EA?) bought all of the rights to Marvel games, so that would be a "No." coneyparleg 02-04-08, 04:52 PM Someone (EA?) bought all of the rights to Marvel games, so that would be a "No." didn't the arm that was making a next gen marvel fighting game get canned :( Amon37 02-04-08, 05:57 PM didn't the arm that was making a next gen marvel fighting game get canned :( Yes. But I'm sure it wouldn't have been a 2D fighter like MvC. risk235 02-04-08, 09:51 PM There was a rumor that Marvel vs Capcom 3 was in development though its been a while since I heard any new info joeblow 02-04-08, 09:59 PM Someone (EA?) bought all of the rights to Marvel games, so that would be a "No." EA delivered a (predictably) awful Marvel fighting game and has recently given up the license. The hope for 2D fighting fans is that Capcom can now make a sequel to the huge arcade hit that was MvC2 back in the day. tqlla 02-04-08, 10:12 PM PLEASE CAPCOM BRING IT BACK.... the COIN OP arcade died with Marvel Vs Capcom 2. CURSE YOU EA! CURSE YOU TO HELL! THose were the days. I put Marvel vs Capcom 2 in the PS3... it looks great over HDMI. The problem is that the PS3 drops 3 out of every 30 frames when upconverting PS2 games over HDMI. That really messes up my timing. Not sure if that was fixed with later patches to the PS3 joeblow 02-05-08, 12:30 AM That's your HDTV likely... it definitely isn't the PS3. |
