i have just purchased a Tvix 5100sh and installed a 500gb hdd i also bought a ICY BOX IB-nas4220 and installed 2x500gb hdds.
I have a BT-Hub with only 2 lan ports, one of which i use to connect to my computer and one i use to connect to my tvix 5100sh which is in the front room.
I also bought a NETGEAR GS605 Gigabit Ethernet Switch to give me more lan ports so i could connect to the nas drive.
So this is how i connected them alltogether:- iv'e got a ethernet cable runnung from my BT-Hub to the front room into the Netgear switch, a cable running from the nas drive into the switch and my Tvix has a cable running from that into the switch, but yet i still cant get the Tvix to pick up the nas drive :(, I can pick up the HDD inside of the Tvix using an FTP programme and also if i connect it using USB,also i can see the nas drive on my network.
can anyone help me out with this please i'm tearing my hair out?
