Is it possible to switch the PS3 resolution without resetting the PS3 or quitting the game I am playing ? I want to play games with HDMI output but it would be nice to record a game or part of a game using the analog adaptor cable that came with the PS3.

Alternatively is there a (cheap) device that will down convert hdmi to 480i ?
