I currently have an Inno, which I mainly keep in my car since using the home dock / antennae is a bit cumbersome. I recently purchased an Onkyo 705 and am currently awaiting a D* TV installation for my new system.

I'd like to run XM on my Ony, however it is in my basement and not very easy to get view of the southern sky, hence a really weak signal.

I saw someone post in another thread that they thought XM comes with D* TV? Can anyone elaborate upon this?

If it doesn't, what outdoor hardware would I need to purchase to get a clear signal into my basement? While the D* TV guy is installing the Dish, maybe I can get him to attach whatever hardware I need for XM.

Also, how would I go about avoiding another subscription?

Thanks.

DirecTV carries all the music channels (and actually more than on the sats) but no talk or sports channels, which is fine considering it is TV :) The Virus and the Oprah channels are also included in addition to the music.

The bonus, XM on DirecTV sounds much better than over the internet or on any of their radios. You will be very happy with XM on DirecTV for music. The only unfortunate thing is some channels are only available with Choice Xtra but I wanted that anyway.

The following is a list of all the XM channels on D*: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_DirecTV_channels#Channels_700_-_999

Thanks Xz.
Now I'm looking forward to the install even more than before.
