All,
Can any one shead some light on recommendations (if any) for HDMI scalars/processors that will convert;
720p/50 to 720p/60
1080i/50 to 1080i/60
1080p/50 to 1080p/60
and vice versa?
I have done an initial research on models from Atlona, Gefen and ComWorld, but haven't yet found any useful reviews. Does any one have other manufactures of such components.
For those that are interested, the reason I may require one is that I have a US TV that I will be taken back to the UK and wish to connect a HD cable box to it.
Any Help????

The Lumagen HDP or HDQ can accept 720p50/1080i50 (also many other resolutions) and convert these resolutions to 60Hz for your TV. The new Lumagen RadianceXD can accept 720p50,/1080i50/1080p50 and convert these resolutions to 60Hz. We have a very active dealer in the UK should you need support for our product while you are in the UK.
I have to add that most modern TV's will support both NTSC (60Hz) and PAL (50Hz) resolutions. So your TV might already be able to display these PAL resolutions. Of course there are other big advantages to using a Lumagen in your system such as the proprietary Lumagen "no-ring" scaling and the ability to fully calibrate your system.

I have a phillips 55pp8620 rear projection tv that only accepts 1080i at 60hz (eia/cea-770.2(&3)-c)
being in Australia all the STB and Audio Video receivers output at 1080i/p 50hz...
Will the model above convert the 50 to 60 hz properly.

Unfortunately they don't anymore: I have both a Samsung LCD and a Panasonic Plasma, neither of which support 50Hz - I've tried it. These are both 2007 models; I believe some older ones used to do this, but it seems that their firmware now disables 576/50/PAL operation - so whilst the same model in Europe is multi-standard, the equivalent here is not. Worse, they also disable 720/50 and 1080/50. I guess it's what you call "marketing". Perhaps good for you guys though :)
I know you may be a little biased in the answer to this, but how good is the 576i/50 to (for example) 1080i/60 conversion using one of your processors? Is there a visible "stutter" due to the inevitible timing problems with such a conversion?

Yes.
At least, there is on the vp50 and I can't see how anything could avoid it on live broadcasts.
wow..thats disappointing for you guys.....In Australia I just bought a panasonic veira 58" and it supports all 1080i/p inputs both 50/60hz......
Full Hd panel 1920x1080....
Video scaling 50 to 60 is always bad no matter how good the processor unfortunately....Upscaling from 50 frames to 60 requires the addition of extra non existent frames and just isnt worth the cost. As the quality general is stuttery and worse than a lower resolution....
Going the other way 60 to 50 is much better as you can imagine its about losing frames so generally a better outcome....
