Does the HDP allow for vertical image shifting with the use of DVI/HDMI? I would like to use it to vertically shift a 2.35:1 image from the RS1 (to avoid manually adjusting each time). This allows me to mask my electric screen.

If so, are there any image consequences? How much image shift does it allow? Does it allow for fine adjustment or is it relatively large steps? Does it require digging into multiple menus and is there a way to save the setting?

Yes you can move the position of the image quite a bit up down side to side.

I recall seeing a setup with a HDP that was using for a similar purpose to what you are doing. He had the setting saved in memory and it was a 1 button push to shift the image.

You could call the Lumagen guys and ask. They were always good at answering my presales questions over the phone.
