View Full Version : Qualia 004 24p ZIMMERLI THIERRY 02-08-08, 09:12 AM Hi guys Is there any 24P soft for Qualia004 ? thebland 02-08-08, 01:51 PM No. But you can get the same effect with the Lumagen Radiance. It will soon convert 1080P24 to 1080P24sF (Qualia's native rate). You'll get the same judder free video at 1080P. The 1080P60 upgrade offered by Sony is for the DVI only. No 10890P24 support either.. Not too useful compared to the above. ZIMMERLI THIERRY 02-10-08, 02:52 PM No. But you can get the same effect with the Lumagen Radiance. It is a waste, 1080P24sf is better for film Glimmie 02-10-08, 04:42 PM Sorry Jeff 1080/24Psf is 1080 I Do you mean that you never get the R2 uppgrade ? Not exactly. The difference between 1080i and 1080sF is that the sF image was captured as a progressive frame. How you chop it up for storage and transmission doesn't matter as long as you put it back together properly. True 1080i means the two fields were CAPTURED at a different point in time. There is no artifact free way to merge them into a single frame. 24sF was devised to maintain compatability with 1080i systems on the production side. It was never intended as a consumer side format. The Quallia is a prosumer product and Sony probably used 24sF because they had much experience with it from the broadcast equipment side. Remember Sony at first did not even support 720P in any of their products. |
