Just recently listened to a sooloos with and without a dac (emm) for about an hour -myself and another person listening both agreed that with certain music there was no difference- however there were certain tracks where there was a significant difference using the dac with the music being richer sounding and the instruments much clearer--- the touch screen is easy to use and looks great-- is it worth the price? for someone who wants something easy and great sounding (with a dac) it probably is-- It doesn't seem like there are many other systems out there with similar type touch screen and ease of use as most other systems require using a tv monitor and keyboard. I'm sure five years from now there will be similar systems out there for much less.. Its sort of like lots of other things when it comes to price- you can buy a sofa for 600$ at ikea or 10,000$ at armani- they both do the same thing - in the end it's just a matter of what you want and think is worth your money
