Hey guys...First of all I want to say hello to everyone...New here :D Ok now to the problem. I just finished my new house and I need a big TV asap, I’m crazy about DVD films and I will be playing some playstation games 3 to 4 hours a week MAX, i have a home cinema room ready now and I will be sitting at about 3.5 to 4 meters from the TV. I m be twin the Samsung LE52M86BD and the Pioneer PDP-5080XA. I know one is LCD and one is Plasma..I don’t really care about the technology but burn in scares me a bit. I have seen both TVs up close and the Pioneers PQ is better but the Samsung is 1080p and the Pioneer is not, the Samsung has the Digital Tuner and the Pioneer dose not and on top of that the Samsung has 2 more ". I have to say i can get both TVs for the same price (Maybe the Pioneer a bit Cheaper than the Samsung) PLSSS help me...I don’t know what to do... I love Pioneers build quality and picture quality but I’m a bit scared about burn in and I don’t know if I really need the 1080p that the Samsung has. HELP

Hopefully some other Brits will read your query and reply about those models.:)

By not having a digital tuner (Pioneer) I assume you mean one of those Freeview thingies?

Being an LCD owner, I would vote for the plasma myself.;)

Good luck.:)

The us version of the Pioneer 5080HD has been written up numerous times by respected publications as being the best 50" tv regardless of it being only 768p.
