Just so happens I already had my lighting in place from being used with my HLS-5087 DLP, but after replacing it with my new Kuro 5080, I couldn't be happier. As I have read so many times on here of the incredible black level detail from the 5080, which I certainly agree with, I must say I was even more impressed by how much more defined it becomes when using the 6500k bulbs.

Something I felt compelled to share... :D I'm sure there must be references to using amibent lighting with plasmas within these pages somewhere, I just haven't seen mention of it. With DLP.... yes, but not Plasma.

What are your thoughts?

With the new ECC screens, I wonder if the lights will be needed?
