Hi I am wondering how much over hang I should make the top of my rizer hang over the side's 40mm/50mm ?? How much over hang have you allowed for your rizer's....

2 - 2-1/2 inches I believe is what is recommend, especially if carpet and maybe rope lights are going there, so 50.8mm-63.5mm

I did a 1.5" overhang and then gorilla glue'd a trim piece on the front to allow me to hide the rope light behind the carpet. I don't know about you but I hate being able to see the rope light itself. It's nice to be able to leave them on while watching without being distracted by the direct light.

Picture aside, that's a neat effect. I like the concept of not seeing the rope lighting itself.
