Disappointed! I switched from red to blue and found out Fox sucks!
HDDVD version has a very cool commentary with all 4 principle actors
which is to be found nowhere on the BD version Fox you out there?
get it together! why should the German version be cool and the American version suck!

Is it really that hard to grasp? Fox is preparing you to dip again.

I hadn't thought about Fox and Double Diping. But now that I do how many versions of indepence day and T2 on DVD have their been. Way to many.

I don't have either on HDM Yet. I've stil got the DVDs of both as the SE's were better and cheeper at the time plus I didn't have BD player yet. I may get them both if the price is right.

are you sure you are talking about the sequel.. because the first movie has commentary with the cast.

didn't watch the BD, but the HD DVD did have lots of distracting artifacts, especially in the ferris wheel scene

are those present on the BD?

No, the BD is 40Mbit AVC, while the HD-DVD is 15Mbps VC-1.

This BD has some of the very best PQ on any disc. This BD, along with other recent BDs from Fox such as Mr. Brooks, Prison Break, and Die Hard 4 is at the very top of the list in terms of PQ and makes it hard for me to watch BDs from studios like Sony and Disney with satisfaction.

Actually its 29 Mbps average AVC. :) Though it may very well peak at 40.

I've always been impressed the audio/video quality of FOX BD's too. (I for one don't care about any extras)

And some that are not so great. Have you seen The Game Plan, for example?
