How does it look? Is this reference material on Blu-ray?
I've been told it has both Dolby Digital and DTS tracks, are they high bitrate 640 Kbits/sec and 1500 Kbits/sec?

IMO, none of the paramount Blu-Rays have been all that great. They've almost always used MPEG2 while giving the HD-DVD a superior AVC encode. I do have the HD-DVD version and it looked great, though. I have not seen the Blu-Ray.
Italian Job looks spectacular on HD but poor on Blu-Ray...that and the BD package says DTS but none is there.
Thanks!

4/5 PQ sounds about right from my recollection. It's been awhile since I've watched that disc.

I don't know what the HD DVD looks like but I was a bit disappointed with the PQ of the BD.

Thanks to all of you. Just scored one on ebay and bought it.

Same here! The movie was reference material on HD-DVD. I figured it would be the same on Blu Ray, interesting if it is not.

It looks every bit as good on the BD as the HD DVD. Nearly imperceptible. I have the HD DVD version and the blu ray version too. I've A/B'd them.
It has very nice PQ helped by Charlize in that kickass outfit.;)
Meh I didn't like the quality of the HD-DVD. Matter of a fact its up on Ebay right now...

It might not be the best Blu-ray I own, but it's far from the worst, either.

I have not seen the BD version, but I've never heard anyone rave about it.

Pardon me but is this even a good movie? I remember watching the SD DVD a long time back and turning it off in 30 minutes because I could not take it. Due to lack of choices this movie is coming to me on HD DVD from that 5 free offer but I was not sure if I should give it a second chance or unload it on eaby?
