I am currently using a Linksys Nas200 with 2 500gig HDD's to stream my media to 3 XBOX's. This works well for streaming but moving files to the Linksys Nas200 takes forever. I am looking for a NAS enclosure that also has USB2 ports so it can be used on the network as a NAS (Ethernet) and as an external HDD (USB2). Loading files by USB2 would be a lot faster. An enclosure that takes at least 2 HDD's would be great. Can anyone point me it the right direction?

The Infrant is nice (I have one myself), Synology and Thecus also has several NAS's. While they do have USB ports, they are to add additional hard drives or printers, not to attach to your computer as a USB drive (unless this is a feature I'm unaware of). I've seen single drive enclosures that connect via USB and Ethernet, but I don't think they have builtin streaming capabilities.

I think a NAS that has 1000Mbit ethernet will give you better transfer rates than USB2 though (assuming you also have a gig switch and nic on your pc). Here's a link comparing various connections and their transfer rates http://www.lyberty.com/tech/terms/usb.html
