I have a MBP Intel 2.2 and I want to be able to use it with my Toshiba 52HM84. I have connected the MBP to the Tosh with a DVI-HDMI cable and it does work technically, but the image quality is horrible. When I first connect, the resolution defaults to 1280x720, which is correct for the Tosh, but the image has really bad ghosting. I tried other resolutions too, but none of them improved the image. Does anyone have any suggestions to make this work?

Thanks

I have the same model tv...the manual says that dont expect positive results when connecting a computer to the tv...the image quality has sucked on both my MB and MBP when connected to the tosh. There is no way to fix this that I know of.

I downloaded DisplayConfigX today to see if it might offer some improvements. It has a lot of adjustability, but I haven't had much time to play with it. I don't understand why the Tosh would have a problem with the signal from the Macs. Are the Macs not sending a proper 720P or 1080i signal? It's frustrating to say the least. Hopefully I'll have some luck with DisplayConfigX. I'll post any results in the coming days.

Hi, I'm just curious if you had any luck with DisplayConfigX on your Tosh 52HM84. I'm having the same terrible image on the same TV from my mac mini.

Thanks for any results at all.
