My projector needs to be within an inch or three of my rear wall.

I've got a great Chief RPA mount.

In most rooms, I could hook it into the ceiling.

But in my room, the ceiling near the wall is angled and doesn't have good stuff behind the drywall to to attach the mount.

So I want to have an ELBOW come out from the wall...

I could possibly built it out of some pipe nipple fittings 1.5inch, but maybe there is something more elegant that folks have found?

(Right now I've moved to put the projector on a shelf -- upside down, since I need the greater lens shift that that permits.)

This is apparently / essentially what I need -- but this is for a peerless mount, and I have a chief mount.

Chief RPA mounts are hung by a CMS Fixed Extension column (listed in their line of accessories) This fixed extension column is nothing more than a piece of 1 1/2" pipe threaded on both ends. You could come off the wall with their fixed extension column, use a standard pipe elbow, and another fixed extension column to the mount.

Bingo!

This is the method I'll use if there isn't a nice commercial solution. The wife isn't thrilled with pipe BUT since it is above and behind the projector, it will be mostly hidden.
