We have a customer that would like to store downloaded movies (either from Itunes or other media outlets) and play them directly to a tv or a number of tvs. I know there are some options, but really trying to find the best. Is there a relatively easy way to stream downloaded content, say from a media center pc, to a tv using some sort of tablet to control everything? We have to rough in this house pretty soon, possibly this week, and need to get moving on this and figure out our best options. Anyone with some ideas? Thanks.

Well, if they want to use iTunes movies, that leaves the AppleTV, I would think. Failing that, it looks like HTPC time, but I don't see this as being a viable option for anybody but the most tech-savvy. (Still too much wrangling with codecs...)
The problem with the AppleTV is that it won't do ripped DVDs. Nor is there a legal way (that I know of, anyway) for you to provide the consumer with a method to rip DVDs, even if the AppleTV would play them. (Other than the nudge-nudge, wink-wink, go-to-such-and-such-Google-search method.)
