My Sanyo PLV-Z3 has developed these discollored borders at the top (Yellow) and bottom (Blue) of the screen. Anybody know what it is or how I migth fix it?

Polarizer plate failure. The plates need to be replaced in the projector.

Not a defect per se ... but wear and tear on lcd organic panels that degrade over time.

Blue plate is most prone to degradation.

Replace now ... but will likely occur again in 1000 to 1500 hours when it becomes really noticable again.
