Does anyone that has any good tips/tricks how to get the best picture out of my Lcd samsung LE-27S71BX while gaming with my ps3.
I have the gaming option turned on, thanks

The problem with games is that unlike Movies which are edited on studio quality display's that are alteast calibrated to right when they were bought. Video Games are often tested and created on Sony Bravia's in Vivid mode, so then they look wrong on everything else (especially true of PS3 games because of the Sony Relationship).

For most video games you are going to want to tune the input you use for video games to be right for movies in the "Movie" mode for that input, using the Maintenance mode on the TV.

This way you can set the custom mode for that input to be extra bright and extra saturation, and extra color, to accomodate the "Vivid" mode that many of these games were created on.

I bought a standalone HD-DVD player instead of using the xbox 360 most of the time because I wanted to be able to have "weird" settings for gaming and right settings for movies on a seperate input.
