Hi

I am looking for a media streamer that can play ISO files flawlessly - could someone recommend one?

I have read several comments that there are 'thousands' of such streamers - but i am unable to find comments that specifically point towards one!

Here are some of my requirements:
1. I am not interested in HD streaming, not that i would mind it
2. I am not interested in a modded xbox
3. I would prefer a product thats not in beta - something that is easily available and doesnt make me an 'early adaptor'

i dont care what else it does, it must play ISO's well!

anybody out there with such a product - please make recommendations!

MediaGate MG-35 is a cheap and dirty way to play ISO. Interface ain't so pretty, but for $100 it'll do the job.

I use a Zensonic z500 to play ISO files. The player is available from Digital Connection (one of the site sponsors) and frequently through eBay. The firmware is mature and the product works. I am happy with mine.

I use Tvix M-5000A (out of production I beleive). You can use it's "brother" 4000 which is the same but has different shape. I think ISO streaming works great on that.
If you want a nicer GUI you can use the tool in this thread (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=951350) to create one.

I'll second the z500 from Ziova : works great, has upscaling of the files played up to 1080p via HDMI, can play any DVD (multi-region), has a 19 inch home-theater component form-factor, and it's very inexpensive.

i will second the Tvix 4000. I have had one for a few months and it plays iso great. There is a little learning curve setting it up, but the end result with the remote is wonderful

thanks a lot everyone...so it appears that there are 3 leading contenders:

1. MediaGate MG-35
2. Zensonic z500
3. tvix 4000/5000

i will take a look at each of these...

cheers!

I came to this forum to ask the very same question. Glad I'm not the only one seeking to stream ISOs. There should be more of these in the market.
