Well, I currently own a Sony KDS-50A200 but I am looking to sell it and get a flat panel. Now, don't get me wrong, I love the picture of the KDS, it is an excellent TV, but I need to save on some space, and a flat panel would be perfect for that. I would like to spend around $1,500 to $2,000 and want the best I can get in that range. I would also like it to be around 50". I have read about the Kuro and like what I see, but now I hear they aren't going to make it anymore? Also, it is important to me that the TV is 1080p as I have a PS3. I have read about the new Pannys that are coming out. Anyone know when these will be out, I hear end of this month, and what type of price range we will be looking at.

Thanks!

them not making any more kuros does not affect the quality or price point considerations. its still your best tv for the money.

Well, do you think the Sammy FP-T5084 is worth a look? Seems like it's got pretty good reviews. I might do that or wait for the new Panny's to come out. Wish we knew the pricing on them.

Just curious as to where you heard they are not making the Kuro's anymore. I am planing on getting the new 6010 and if it is to be discontinued for a newer model I would like to know.

Panasonic TH-42PZ700U 1080p plasma.....or the TH42PZ77U if glare is an issue. Both fall well within your pricerange and will give you an excellent pic for everything..
