Wondering if anyone can help me out? ive learned a lot from the forum by reading other threads, helped me select my HDTV and helped me advise a friend on how to make sure his new 360 purchase had a falcon mother board.
Anyway for a few years now i've been saying i'm going to make a documantry for a local film festival and this spring/summer i'm ready to do it. I know nothing about film editing but i'm a fast learner, i've created indy graphic novels and published on a wim similiar to this, but i did get advice from people in the trade before i did that as well. So now i need some advice, i have mac osx and i'm looking to get a camcorder that has editing software with it. if i have to buy it seperate thats ok too. I would like to keep my total purchase under $1000.00 but if i have to go up to 1500.00 i can swing that if i must.
I'm looking for something that is easy to use, does well in low light and has a hard drive. I would like to be able to edit off my mac, plug in and start zipping away. Sound quaility is verry important to me. HD is not sooo important but i want to be able to produce a quality product. If my price range is way off i would like input on that too...
Anyway all advice will be taken with the highest regard. Thank you.
