I am looking for a place to get a longer power cord for a friend of mine. He needs one for an Epson Powerlite S5. It is a different type of connector
which makes it harder to find what I need. He needs at least a ten foot cord. Any suggestions.

Is it the Mickey Mouse connector?

If your unable to find your required length.

Just go to you local hardware or home depot /lowes and buy
Black 16 or 14 Gauge 3 Conductor SJEOW Wire 16/3 14/3

at the length you need.

Then cut your old power cable solder all ends and shrink wrap.
it really isn't all that hard and very inexpensive.

I do this all the time .

Is there any reason why he can't use an extension cord?

If the installation and electrical rating permits it's it I would think it would be just fine.
