I'm just going to go by the pointers topic to make it easy on me since I am a noob to choosing the right sub based on room size and such.

Budget: under $500

Size of the sub does not matter to me

As far as room size...it is a very complicated design. I will post a pic to at least show the area that is used....the other part which isn't much is behind the couch and sub. The sub is right now behind the couch.

I didn't show this to show off because I know pretty much all of you would crush me :p
Here is another perspective from where I sit. The sub is directly behind the center seat on the couch. (It's a wide image so I linked off)

Uses: Movies, TV, Music, Games. It's more all purpose really, but nevertheless I posted the uses in order of use. For TV I find myself watching things like LOST and Jericho and some stuff on MHD, but not really alot of sports.

Listening habits: i like to feel the bass and the action so I tend to have the volume at alittle bit higher then some others are accustomed to. If you have a Onkyo 705, my volume stays in the 50-60 range .

Appearance: It doesn't really matter since it is away from my TV, stand, and speakers but I do prefer black.

Now I did some research and I like what I'm seeing when I look at the Polk DSW PRO 400, but since I am noob...I have no clue if this would best suite me. If I can I would prefer to stay in the $300-$400 range but $500 is the max.
Once I find a sub I will be looking into other speakers to replace the ones I have now. I bought an Onkyo HTiB and I recently bought a Onkyo 705 to replace the receiver, and now I am upgrading everything else over time.

cheaper one (http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_info.php?cPath=2_41&products_id=407&osCsid=a338df3c3fe55d188ba06106792dab2c)
pricier one (http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_info.php?cPath=2_41&products_id=102&osCsid=a338df3c3fe55d188ba06106792dab2c)
both include shipping in the price.. with either I'd recommend upgrading to OV driver for extra $30. The pricier sub has more watts and internal bracing. They're both best choices for the price afair.
Regarding your setup, can you move your tv and speakers out of the corner into the middle of the wall? That would definetely help the sound.

I've read about these 2 subs on the forum when I browsing through. Now that I have a link I will def. keep these in mind.

About the setup.....The reason why it's right there is because of the windows and the light that comes through them so that it is not directly on the picture. If I did that then I would probably put it where the shelf thing is and face it towards the optimus prime standee that is in the wide pic. Would it be a large sound difference? Also...since this is the sub forum, Where would you place the sub if I moved around everything.

By the way, I am using a 7.1 system so I would have to place the speakers far enough behind the couch and also the recommended viewing distance for the tv is 6-9 feet and right now it is at 8.

While looking at the specs i am seeing the freq. response is 18-100Hz. I saw somebody looking for one that goes to at least 120Hz. Would I be loosing anything by capping off at 100?

No since most people have it cutoff at 60-80Hz,anything over that and the sound becomes directional.

Thanks! Now that I have a their website I am almost thinking about going all in and getting the package deal with the A3-300, 1x 6t6 pair, 2x 5t5 pair, and a 6t6 for my center. Heard anything about their speakers? Their subs seem awesome for the prices.

Their subs have waits on them though, ~ 2 months from the order to shipment. They don't stock them, they build to order and they have lots of people ordering. If you cant stand the wait you'll need to go with Cadence (http://www.cadencestore.com/ProductCart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=137&idproduct=396).
About the setup, well it hurts the sound severely when you do asymmetrical room setups. You should try to have the front speakers at equal distance from their respective walls. You can put them along the shorter wall or the longer wall - thats up to you. And I dunno how serious you are about it but you might wanna consider some acoustic treatments too.
I don't know anything about ED speakers. They're certainly not high end with their selling prices, but for that price they're probably a good value judging by ED subs.

Cool thanks! I will keep all this info in mind.

The Definitive Technology Supercube II and III are also good options. The Supercube II does a great job but might be a little beyond your budget of 500$, but you might be able to find it for that price if you look really hard and get a hookup somewhere. The Supercube III I've personally never listened to, but if its in line with the other Supercube sounds and reps I think they are a good purchase and definetly worth the money.

Frankie, the Supercubes are very decent subs for those looking specifically for little subs with good performance, but the OP states that size does not matter. Without size constraints, much better performance can be had for less money with several other choices.

I've been doing alot of reading since I bought my Supercube Reference and it seems there are alot of subs out there that outperform them for similar money, although they are very good. I'm actually considering getting a different subwoofer sometime down the line now, but looks are an issue to me hehe.

Frankie, if looks are important to you, take a good hard look at a couple of offerings from AV123, in particular, the MFW-15 and the x-plosive. Their veneer finishes are some of the nicest you will ever see.
