Hi guys, what would be the best sub to pair up with a Pioneer VSX-92TXH with L890's in front, LC2 in the center and L830's in the back? Roughly about 200-250 square feet. I am currently running a 200 watt Roland KCW-1 but it's pretty muddy even though it pumps. Around $500-$750 would be very cool... Thanks!

18x11x8 is the room dimention flowing into another living room. I was checking out the Velodyne 4000 but I'm not sure because it is a few years old.

If you're willing to look at products from internet direct sellers, I'd look at subs from SVS, Hsu, Epik, eD (Elemental Designs), and AV123. Epik, eD, and AV123 are all backlogged, so if you're in a hurry to get a sub, SVS and Hsu are probably your best options. I'd also check out eBay. I've seen the JBL Studio L 8400P go for well under $400 there. For that price it's an excellent sub, and people seem to be quite pleased with its performance, especially with music. For a more HT centered setup, the larger more powerful ported subs offered by the aforementioned internet companies will give you by far the most impact and depth for your money. Any sub they offer in the $500+ range will handily outperform the Velodyne 4000R you're looking at.
