As usual I make impulse buys and bought a Miller & Kreisel V-1B sub 12" Powered -200 watts plus on eBay. I have never heard this sub and would appreciate any information about his sub. I can find no info on the web. Let me know if it’s a crap or great. I hope I made a good purchase, let me know if I didn’t.

I'd say it's a decent sub. Do you know what its frequency response is?

I wish i knew. I can find no literature about this product. It is a 12 and i think it is a sealed enclosure.

M&K subs,they all use what I call plain drivers in well optimised cabinets to give better results than one would expect.

These subs are great to match with ec=ven small monitors,as they can be cut quite high. The drivers use very light weight cones,and pack a punch.These subs will drop like stones under 30Hz...room gain will compensate some.

These are not subs for very deep sub bass,20Hz down...forget about it.Simple fact the drivers have limited Xmax.

For audio,very good units as you can free smaller mains from 60-80Hz down.

Yes, very "musical"... I owned the v2b for about 8 years and loved it for music. It wasn't great on HT for sure, as the Ear says it did drop off the Hz map pretty quickly. Too bad M&K pulled the plug on their company! I now have SVS and am thrilled with their ability to do both music and HT. Also, have run JL Audio f113 in my room...

Remember M&K is solid 30Hz up,and 25Hz down...not even what I call usable. Your call here.

I own two M&K V1-B's. Bought them in 1988. Think they were $550. each. Had them re-coned once. I use them in my secondary Home theater. They still work perfect :) (I was very sad to see M&K go out of business :( )

Please do you have any specs on the v1b sealed vs ported, amp power, freq range. So far i am feeling better and better about this purchase paid 170 total.
