I have an Onkyo SR803 receiver with a Series 3 HD TiVo and PS3 connected to it with HDMI cables. The receiver only has one output for HDMI and I wanted to have my 50" DLP TV for daytime viewing/gaming and TV shows and have my projector for nighttime viewing/gaming and movies. My question is; is there some kind of HDMI splitter (1 in and 2 out) that works on outputs so I don't have to unplug and plug in HDMI cables every time I want to watch one or the other?

Ya, that is what I want, but......200 bones is more than I was hoping to spend.
Now that I know that they exsist I can do some more searching for something a little cheaper.
I don't need a splitter per say, more of a switch of some kind.

Note the powered model is only HDMI 1.2, which really shouldn't matter.

Why would I want the more expensive one? Is it because it has an amplifier as well?

Amplified will allow greater signal strength for running longer distances. It requires a "handshake" to properly function. The non-powered is a pure mechanical split...it is invisible to the HDMI device so no "handshake" is required.

Do you think that I'll be ok with the cheaper one if my 2 runs are 25'?

I ordered the cheap splitter, we'll see if it does the job or not, it got a lot of bad reviews, I'm thinking that it is user error on most of the bad reviews.

Just saw this thread. Like you, I have a TV and projector I wanted to hook up. I didn't have much luck with the cheaper splitter (got sparklies on a 6' run to the TV running through the Monoprice 2x1 manual switch), but the Monoprice 4x2 powered switch works great. It even runs two displays simultaneously with different sources. There are no issues with my longest run - 25' from a PC to the switch, then another 25' to the projector.

Awww, that sucks. My wife is already on me about spending $1k on a projector that we "don't need". I'll report the results either way.
