Okay, I have bought an Onkyo 605. It has 2nd zone audio output.
I want to wire one pair outside, and then have at least 2 or 3 more pairs inside. Those would have to be wireless.
How do I best accomplish this? Buy three of the Rocketfish devices? Buy an amp with wireless speakers and hook into the 2nd zone of the 605? Any help is appreciated.
Also, inexpensive speakers for outside and for the other rooms. Like $150 a pair or so, smaller speakers that can mount or put on a shelf.
Your help is appreciated.

Depends on what your requirement are.
I'm familiar with the Rocketfish only as much as I read in the last two minutes.
The system I looked at has amplification built into the Rocketfish receiver - 25wpc @ 4 ohms @ 10% distortion. If this fits your requirement, and the transmission distance is within their spec, then it should work. Rocketfish says maximum is 100ft and I'd guess that is best case line of sight. If you want to go though walls, it's probably quite a bit less.
Have no idea how it sounds.
Keep in mind that each transmitter unit and each receiver unit requires a power connection too.
As far as connecting them to Zone 2, that's easy. You would simply connect all the transmitters in parallel to the Onkyo's Zone 2 speaker terminals. The transmitters have high input impedance so it's not a problem to connect several of them to the speaker outputs in this manner.

So, I can hook in multiple wires to the banana posts on the back of the 605? I don't need external amplification to hook into the 2nd zone, there is enough power to drive 3 more sets or should I get external amplification just for those speakers.

Can't talk much more now, but I thought you said wireless???
If you are talking about connecting multiple pairs of speakers directly to the Onkyo, or to an external amp, that changes things. In that case, you should use an impedance-matching speaker switcher or a distribution amp with multiple channels of output.
