From reading the reviews it didn't SOUND like the Mits was their favorite...

Considering the 4900 can be had for under $1400 after rebate it's easy to see who won...!

It received the highest rating. There is something to be said for price and ease of setup and use. I am sure the Sony and Epson will outperform it after you get them tweaked and calibrated just right, but I suspect there are a lot of newbie projector owners (count me as one of those) who like what Mitsubishi is offering with the HC4900. Mine should be here sometime in the middle of next week. Can't wait.

Sanyo can be had for the same low price as the mits atm

I am sure that everyone on the forum knows why they are here. To get 'real' comparisons. Do not waste your time with worthless reviews from these companies which test everything from toasters to space shuttle parts.:rolleyes:
