I have watched the whole first half of the Pitt vs. Marquette game and felt I needed to come on here to lament about how bad it has looked.
There are so many artifacts that even with NR on high it looks noisy, not to mention that the NR flatens out the image.
It's amazing how much difference there can be from one game to the next.
But this is just pitiful - imo.
Is it just my area or this noticeable for all of you on espn now?

I wish whoever was incharge would actually be able to watch the crap they are sending our way sometimes.

If OTA could only grab ESPN. :(

might wanna be specific about who your provider is and where you are. As you know if you're seeing it that way on D* more people might be seeing the same problem, but if its your local Time Warner or Comcast that could be something different. I'm watching it on Comcast here in NYC and it looks like normal ESPNHD. Not Grammy-mesmerizing but not terrible either.

Would it mattter for D* where you are if signal strength is high?Signal strength does not affect image quality for HD.

The game was horrible on Dish network hd as well. In fact it almost looked as if it was sd stretched to fit the screen.

The game on espn right now, G-Town vs 'Cuse, looks 100x better than last nights game.
It looks very good.
I just don't get it.

I remember when I had Dish the pq was one of the best I remember I would show ESPN as my go to channel when people came over to see what HD looks like, but now that I have D* I try to avoid this channel, I don't know if its D* or ESPN has gotten worst, but I doubt its ESPN.

There are some games on ESPN that looked like a bumped up SD picture in widescreen. There is a difference in some of their games.
