View Full Version : NASCAR on ESPN2HD - Camping World 300 from Daytona homcom 02-16-08, 12:10 PM NASCAR Countdown on right now, with the race broadcast to start at 1:15 PM ET. jefbal99 02-16-08, 12:19 PM Cool, should be enough time for me to finish watching the FA Cup 5th round fixture between Liverpool and Barnsley on my DVR :) Yes, I go from English football to Nascar, I'm really weird... homcom 02-16-08, 12:38 PM The scrolling starting lineup on the LED on the front of the desk in the studio just looks odd with the wave shape of the desk. jpr281 02-16-08, 02:33 PM So annoying. Will ESPN2 ever get rid of the bottomlime during live events? I understand when ESPN2 first aired there was no ESPNews, the Internet wasn't what it is now - in terms of sports scores/info, and cell phones couldn't get scores, but this is rediculous to take up valuable room to let us know that the Oilers are playing to Canucks tonight at 9 pm. Ken H 02-16-08, 03:28 PM Between the bottom score ticker and the running order at the top, I'd say we have a solid 80% actual racing image. homcom 02-16-08, 03:37 PM Between the bottom score ticker and the running order at the top, I'd say we have a solid 80% actual racing image. A screen capture and photoshop reveals that the BottomLine takes up 10% of the screen and the top ticker takes up between 15% and 19% depending on how many lines of information are showing. jefbal99 02-16-08, 03:46 PM I've just gotten used to it. Between Fox, Speed, ESPN, and TNT I've just learned to live with losing the top 1/5th of the screen with the running order. As for the bottom line and TNT's pop ups, i just look past them now. Atleast ESPN and ABC only show the bottom line twice per hour. Great race, glad to see Tony win and the Gibbs boys do well in the new Toyota's. Can't wait for the 500 tomorrow. You heard it here first, Jr. will win it. shawn12341234 02-16-08, 04:35 PM So annoying. Will ESPN2 ever get rid of the bottomlime during live events? I hate it so much I've spent a lot of time considering how I could build a custom bottom line blocker for my tv. Ideas anyone? SPACEMAKER 02-16-08, 05:15 PM You heard it here first, Jr. will win it. I think he has a good shot to win it but you are far from the first to say it.:D jefbal99 02-16-08, 09:54 PM You heard it here first, Jr. will win it. He has a great shot, but the Toyota Engine was found to have 15 more hp than the Hendrick engines, 30 more than the RCR/DEI engines. |
