Currently listening to the HD DVD "The Way Up - Live" by The Pat Metheny Group in DTS-HD 5.1. Just got it in the mail earlier this week.

There is truth in the phrase from Toshiba, "The Look and Sound of Perfect".

This was released by EagleVision HD. Does anyone know if any small labels will continue to produce these titles?

Any feedback on the SQ of other HD or Bluray music titles would be appreciated.

I guess everyone has heard the news regarding the possible end to Toshiba supporting HD DVD. Perhaps smaller companies will keep the format alive, such as others have done with SACD after Sony dropped the format.

Lets hope that BD becomes hugely successful, replaces DVD within about 5 years (all new players sold are BD) and profile 3.0 (audio only) is implemented. It would be great to have a hi res multi channel replacement for SA-CD/DVD-A that plays in all players.

Perhaps you've forgotten this is SONY. They'll probably toilet this format in 2 years as they've been known to do. I'm not getting a hardon for BD just yet.

While it's true about Sony, BD is in the hands of the BDA and not Sony and looks to be here for a while.;) Lets just hope the BDA gives profile 3.0 a chance.
