Transcoder: Key Digital KD-CTCA3 (http://www.digitalconnection.com/products/video/kdctca3.asp)
Monitor: Sony FW900 (http://www.google.com/search?q=fw900)
Whites on my PS3 are perfectly fine, but when it comes to the cable box (Comcast's Motorola HD tuners), I'm seeing a hint of yellow in the brightest of whites. Light-gray is fine, but when it hits bright white it becomes a faint but distracting and displeasing yellow. I have tested the cable box on my parents' HDTV, and whites are crystal clear on it. I've also swapped cable boxes with no luck. Last but not least, I've tried to balance the color, but as I said about the light grays, it's not a color balance problem.
Any ideas? I'd really appreciate it :)

Does it still look yellow if you disconnect the Pb and Pr cables from the transcoder?

No, it's black and white.
I just found an off-air tv channel with test color bars, and I see something that might be helpful to know:
Y + Pr connected = whites are white.
Y + Pb connected = whites are yellow

If you swap Pb and Pr (i.e., Pr cable into Pb input, and Pb cable into Pr input), does white look like cyan?

It sounds like one of the amplifiers is clipping. There could be a DC offset on the cable box that is upsetting the bias in the transcoder's input stages. Without a scope there is no way to tell.
Call Key Digital technical support.

And out of curiosity I again removed the cable from the Pb input (the Pr cable), and whites look white. It sounds like one of the amplifiers is clipping. There could be a DC offset on the cable box that is upsetting the bias in the transcoder's input stages. Without a scope there is no way to tell.
Call Key Digital technical support.Well, calling tech support would be too logical. But I'll do it. :p

fwiw, I have had very poor results with the Key Digital transcoders. There are clearly better units on the market that are just as cheap now (if not cheaper).
