All of a sudden tonight while watching my HD70 it suddenly powered off and displayed a solid green on the power LED and solid orange on the lamp LED. I figured the bulb must have blown but did not hear any pops or smell anything unusual. The projector was non-responsive to the remote and the power button on the projector itself. I turned the projector off at the power strip and waited a few minutes. I powered back up and to my surprise it behaved normally displaying the usual picture. This lasted the entire 2 final hours I watched it. Then I noticed something else that was odd. When displaying a picture the green power LED was off, there were no lights on the top of the projector at all. If I hit the menu button on the projector remote the green LED would display on the projector's power LED, once I hit menu again and the menu was not showing the green power LED was off. When powering the projector down for the night the power LED also came back on.

What is going on here? Other than a replaced noisy fan this projector has been trouble free. BTW the bulb has 150 hours on it over the year I have owned it. Am I heading for a warranty repair? If it is a failing bulb, is that covered being that the lamp hours are so low and I am under warranty?

Thanks.

The same thing happened to me when I had my HD70. I did what you did and then acted normally. Unplug the power once more a leave off for about five minutes. If happens again send back to Optoma.

Thanks for the response. Which part happened to you-the lamp LED coming on or the power LED not coming on, or both?

Has it ever reoccurred? And if not how long has it been?
