Attention, race fans! There's a hockey game on NBC. In case you want to tune in, we'll be on at 3:30 ET. I'll look in once we get dialed in.

Wendel Hopefully there is not enough wind in Dallas to disrupt the 5.1 this week? :) SNF Mixer 02-17-08, 03:27 PM Hopefully there is not enough wind in Dallas to disrupt the 5.1 this week? :) 5.1 both paths. Ken H 02-17-08, 04:15 PM The way the Wings have been playing, I'm afraid to look in.... ehren 02-17-08, 04:30 PM Thanks NBC again for more Dead Wings coverage! Should have had Colorado/Chicago from the United Center instead we get this ******** matchup. Ken H 02-17-08, 04:47 PM Thanks NBC again for more Dead Wings coverage! Two teams leading their divisions, or two teams one in the cellar, the other just out of the cellar? GregAnnapolis 02-17-08, 04:49 PM You must be kidding. Two teams leading their divisions, or two teams one in the cellar, the other just out of the cellar? Not just two teams leading their divisions -- the top two teams in points in the league! (Though NBC should take a visit to Washington... :)) homcom 02-17-08, 04:54 PM Looked and sounded good when I checked in on WDIV, in Detroit via Comcast. cj1999y2j 02-17-08, 05:01 PM Time Warner Mid Ohio... and this issue may be me or my equipment... but I can see two faint vertical lines on my screen over to the right side. One is near where the screen ends on a 4:3 picture (not right on the end, just in that area), and the other one is slightly to the left of that to make a thick column. I don't see these lines anywhere else. No clue what is causing it, maybe it's my end. I don't know. But I thought I'd check. Anyway, 0-0 tie after two periods. Exciting finish in the third I bet. :) nhlfan79 02-17-08, 05:11 PM No game in Atlanta. Wall to wall weather coverage. mikemikeb 02-17-08, 05:40 PM I looked in for a bit. The dialog is a bit difficult to hear through the ambient/crowd noise, yet is crisper than Daytona's feed. Ambient noise & surround seems richer and fuller, with crisper midtones and higher notes. Overall, a bit quirky compared to the bread and butter yet solid FOX 5.1, but somehow a bit better. Best I can analogize is Grass Valley HD cameras : Ikegami HD cameras :: NBC/Wendel 5.1 : FOX/Daytona 5.1. (Oh, and unlike Daytona, the white balance on NBC looks very good in all respects.) Looked in OTA/WRC-DT/DC. SNF Mixer 02-17-08, 06:01 PM I looked in for a bit. The dialog is a bit difficult to hear through the ambient/crowd noise, yet is crisper than Daytona's feed. See how we sound on another network. cj1999y2j 02-17-08, 06:16 PM Time Warner Mid Ohio... and this issue may be me or my equipment... but I can see two faint vertical lines on my screen over to the right side. Exciting finish in the third I bet. :) Just wanted to update. The problem is somewhere on my end because I changed channels to FOX for the race briefly and now I'm watching Blue Jackets-Blues on FSN Ohio HD and it's still doing it. I notice it the most when I see a lot of white, such as a sheet of ice. I will have to do some researching. I have component hookup right now but I am going to be getting another HDMI as soon as it arrives. (I suppose I could use the other HDMI with my PS3 and see if that works, but I've been using the heck out of my PS3 as of late, lol.) If it continues, then it's my TV or something with TWC-Mid Ohio. |
