Are there any 1080p LCD projectors without a filter to clean?

I'm not sure, but what's the big deal? Buy a replacement filter, and swap it out each month. Clean the old one at your leisure, and it's ready to go next time!

Who swaps a filter each month? Ideally, you should do it every 250 hours or so.

I'm just asking a simple question, and none of you guys have answered it.

Thats cause it's tough to be up to date on every single LCD projector ever made! Maybe do a search...?

Your projector's manual tells you when. Some LCD projectors need cleaning after 1000 hours, according to the manual.

Jim's asked if there are any 1080p LCD PJs with no filters, not when they should be cleaned...

Jim, to my knowledge there are currently no LCD PJs with a sealed optical path (in 1080p or otherwise). Without the sealed path the LCD panels are exposed to the cooling airflow and so the air must be run through a filter.
