I am having an HDCP issue with the Lumagen HDP Video processor when it is connected to my Onkyo 905 receiver.
There is some kind of conflict with the DVI input on my TV so rarely maintains the picture with any input over the DVI input. It is supposed to support 1080i there, but it really does not. So I have to come into the TV via component. In order to do this and still watch my Blu-ray, HD-DVD and Media Center video, I am connecting the Lumagen to the HDMI Sub output on the Onkyo 905 receiver. I am connecting it with a HDMI -> DVI cable. I then connect the TV to the BNC Analog outputs via a component cable.
The issue I am running into is that the Lumagen is disabling video output to the analog because of HDCP. My understanding was that it was OK to output HDCP encrypted video via the analog outputs to a non-HDCP device, you just could not do that via digital. So I do not understand why the Lumagen is blocking this.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Shan
