From the folks (http://www.ninjatheory.com/about.php) that brought you Heavenly Sword, here are some concept background art scenes from their next game, rumored to be announced this week at GDC:

Just a guess but based on that artwork it looks like it might be set in a futuristic Blade Runner like world which has run down.

I thought they announced they already started work on HS2, be cool if they threw Nariko into the far distant Future, to combat a new danger to her world.

fine by me, but it needs to be a much longer game
need's to be a tad more open also. with none of those invisible walls

HS saving grace was the mocap facial animations, bohan, and flying fox. Other than that the game was meh.

I thought all the performances were top notch, especially Nariko and Kai. The story was very good as well but wasn't fleshed out enough due to the game being so short. Best use of the Sixaxis too.
Is Ninja Theory still independant?
Details are coming out, the game is called Enslaved and it is multiplatform.
The game takes place in a "perilous, post-apocalyptic America" and centers on protagonists Monkey and Trip. That's right, protagonists, plural. You'll control the musclebound Monkey, while Trip -- a "technologically savvy but sheltered young woman" -- remains AI-controlled. Think: Half-Life 2's Alyx ... except considerably more manipulative. Recognizing her need for Monkey's "raw strength and power," Trip has linked their slave headbands so "if she dies, he dies."

Andy Serkis is donating his motion capture talents again, and the screenwriter for 28 Days Later is also on board.

Hmmm, why not go for something different and allow 2 player Coop?
I know they've had financial troubles, so you won't see much breaking the mold with this game. Then again, that might not help them either.

I read about this game in this months GameInformer. Nothing about it stood out to make me want to keep an eye on the development. Shame.. I really would have liked to see Heavenly Sword 2.

It should get its own thread Martez. That way you give it a name.
I was about to, but it's not every day you get to legitimately revive a 7 month old thread.

That screenshot looks pretty but that "if she dies you die" bit makes it sound like the game may be a big escort mission. I'm skeptical for now.

ICO was a big escort mission.

Ninja Theory is not Team Ico.
