first off, we are using Cable One cable internet w/ a motorola SBG900 SURFboard Gateway. I am not able to log onto the PS network or store for the downloads. It is wireless right now and I can download the latest FW updates, but every time I try to log onto the network and store, it says "log on to network timed out". what does that mean and what do I have to do to fix it? It worked fine a few months ago. After canceling our service for DSL (only to find out that DSL sucked) I hooked the cable modem back up. Now, I can't log on to the network or store. (username and password are correct)

I ran the internet connection test and on the last line where it says "NAT type" is says "failed". Does that have anything to do with it? sorry, but I don't know what the settings should be or what any of that stuff means. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I wanna download some demos.......

Are you on a PC connected to the internet wirelessly via that modem right now? That would be a good place to start. ALso, I would try hooking up the PS3 straight to the internet connection via ethernet. That will tell you if the gateway is giving you problems. Keep going on like this. Try to narrow down the problem.

When I switched for broadband to DSL.I had issues with the NAT settings. After alot of research.I found you have to put your modem into bridged mode.I tried AT&T about 3 times before I got a tech that new what I was wanting.Call your support line, and ask a support engineer.
