I've got a small living room and the following equipment. What I need is a sanity check and suggestions on rears that will complement the rest of my gear. Primary use is for movies, secondary is for music.

AMP: Onkyo 805
Fronts: Polk Audio Monitor 5
Center: Axiom VP1000 (Merak badged)
Sub: Dhalquist 12"

I intend to fill out both surround channels, so I need 4 speakers. I already have some Klipsch Quintets I was going to use for surrounds, but judging from some of the threads I've read here, they probably aren't up to the task. If I don't end up using them in the living room, I will probably use them for Zone 2.

I wouldn't dismiss the idea of replacing the fronts / centers to get a matched setup, but I'd rather not.

(if enough of you put in your 2 cents worth, I'll be RICH!!)

The best way to get similar sound from all speakers is obviously to use the same speakers for all channels. Barring this solution, sometimes using the same manufacturers line of speakers will provide a nice solution.

Using completely different manufacturers speakers can sometimes cause 'voicing' inconsistencies. In other words, the tonal changes from speaker to speaker may be distracting.
