Why is alot of the programming on History HD stretched? I'm watching Modern Models "The Butcher" right now, parts of the program look like 16x9 fromat, but when they cut into an interview with a person sitting in front of the camera it is definitely a stretched frame. Whats weird is the scenes in the show, alot of them from along time ago like the 1940's looks to be in 16x9 while the newer scenes and interviews are stretched, thats just weird, I hate watching it like that. Is this just another example of the small dishes ripping customers on quality by using less bandwidth?

It has nothing to do with DirecTV. They pass it along the way the History Channel sends it to them. Most of the stuff they have is 4:3 content, even if it is letterboxed. Instead of zooming the pic they choose to stretch it. I love the shows on that channel but it's really annoying how they present them.

Deals with the stretching and the new terrible logo. I personally am a HUGE fan of "The Universe" series and after seeing how terrible it looked during the first 30 seconds last Tuesday night, I've taken it off the DVR and refuse to watch the channel.
